Appeals in Cases of an Alleged Violation of Student Academic Rights

1. Student appeals to division chair in writing - no later than 10 calendar days after start of following semester
2. Division Chair resolves case? - within 15 calendar days
   1. Yes - End of case. All parties notified in writing.
   2. No - Division chair notifies student, instructor and CEO. Refers case to CEO. 
3. CEO Resolves case? - within 10 calendar days
   1. Yes - End of case. All parties notified in writing.
   2. No - CEO notifies student, instructor and division chair. informs student of next step in appeal. 
4. Student files written request for hearing by Appeals Board - within 10 calendar days
5. Case falls under Section 2.0? - determined within 10 calendar days
   1. No - End of case. All parties notified in writing - within 4 calendar days
   2. Yes - Appeals Board Chair invites instructor, division chair, CEO to submit written statements - within 5 calendar days

7. Appeals Board decides to hear case?
   1. No - End of case. All parties notified in writing
   2. Yes - Hearing held, decision made, all parties notified - within 20 calendar days
