3.35.2.1 Henderson Community College
For admission into the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Track of the Industrial Maintenance program, students must meet KCTCS admissions policies and be chosen for company sponsorship by the Admissions Committee.
Admissions Committee
Selection of students for the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Track of the Industrial Maintenance program will be made by the President of the College or the President's designee, after considering the recommendation of an Admissions Committee, which is to be comprised of the following:
- Henderson Community College Industrial Maintenance Program Coordinator
- Henderson Community College Apprenticeship Project Coordinator
- Henderson Community College Student Services representative
- Henderson Community College general education faculty representative
- Representatives from sponsor companies of the HCC FAME chapter
To be considered for admission into the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Track of the Industrial Maintenance program, each applicant must submit the following credentials by the date specified by the HCC FAME chapter for fall semester admission. The due date may be extended due to extenuating circumstances.
- Application for admission to the college;
- application for admission into the FAME program;
- official high school transcript indicating the applicant completed or will complete an approved four-year high school curriculum or passing GED official score report and official transcripts of all postsecondary education, if applicable.
Preference will be given to:
- Kentucky residents and applicants within the HCC service area;
- applicants that are “college ready” at the time of interview:
- no remedial classes needed;
- according to the KCTCS Placement Policy.
Program Retention Requirements:
- Progression in the Advanced Manufacturing Technician Track of the Industrial Maintenance program is contingent upon receiving a grade of ‘C’ or better in all course work;
- adhering to the HCC FAME attendance policy;
- remaining 100% illegal drug free.
